Run the magazine,
not the spreadsheets.

Circulr is the operating system for local magazine publishers — circulation, editorial, advertising and renewals in one place, wearing your brand rather than ours.

The job today

A magazine runs on four systems, and none of them talk.

The list lives in a spreadsheet

Your ranked list, your advertisers and your contacts are in three different files, and the current one is whichever was emailed last.

Ad sales happen in your inbox

Who renewed, who owes an ad, what was promised in June — recoverable only by scrolling back through email.

The issue is planned on a whiteboard

Sections, features, photographers and deadlines live in someone’s head, and the whiteboard does not send reminders.

Renewals lapse quietly

Nobody decides to churn an advertiser. The date simply passes, and the next issue is one page lighter.

What it does

Four things, done properly.

Every subscriber and advertiser in one list

One record per person and per company, with the history attached: what they bought, which issues they appeared in, when you last spoke. Import the spreadsheet you already have — it stays the source of truth until it does not need to be.

  • Contacts, companies and their relationships
  • Ranked lists by year, with movement
  • Imports that tell you what they matched

Plan the issue where everyone can see it

Sections, features, interviews, photography and deadlines for every issue, with the people attached. Contributors get reminders you did not have to write.

  • Issue planning by section
  • Interview and photo tracking
  • Automatic reminders as close dates approach

Sponsorships that do not live in email

Every sponsorship with its term, its rate, what was promised and what has been delivered — so renewal conversations start from a record rather than a memory.

  • Sponsorship terms and payment status
  • Prospect pipeline
  • What each partner was actually promised

Renewals you see coming

Dates, amounts and what happens next, surfaced before they pass rather than after. The quiet lapse is the expensive one.

  • Renewal dates on the dashboard
  • Payment status per sponsorship
  • Invoices and receipts in one place

White-label

The same product, wearing your masthead.

Pick a look, add your logo, and the app your team opens is yours. Run several titles and give each one its own colours — so nobody has to check which publication they are editing.

Built for the publisher who is also the ad rep, the editor and the events team.

Local magazines are not small newsrooms — they are small businesses with a print deadline. Circulr is shaped around that: the list, the issue, the advertisers and the money, in the order you actually work through them.

Every plan starts with a free workspace and sample data. No card until you decide.

Talk to us

See it on your own numbers.

Tell us what you run and we will walk you through it — your list, your issue calendar, your advertisers. No slide deck.

We use this to get in touch about Circulr and nothing else.

Questions publishers ask.

Does it look like my magazine or like your software?

Yours. Each publication picks a template and adds its own logo, so the app your team opens carries your name and your colours. If you run several titles, each one can look different — which is how you know which you are in.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Sign up with Google and you get a workspace with synthetic data to click around in — no card, no call. Nothing you do there touches a real publication.

What happens to the spreadsheets I already have?

Import them. The importer shows you what it matched and what it could not before anything is written, so you can fix the file rather than discover the mess afterwards.

Do I have to move off the tools I use for ads?

No. Circulr is the system of record for the magazine — circulation, editorial, sponsorships and renewals. It is built to sit alongside a sales CRM rather than replace one.

Who can see my data?

Only your team. Every publication’s records are isolated at the database level, not by a filter someone might forget — a query without your workspace bound returns nothing at all.

What do I need to get started?

A Google account. Onboarding walks through your publication details, your list and your first issue; the paid plans include a setup engagement where we do the import with you.

Can I export everything?

Yes, at any time, including the media. It is your archive — it should not be hostage to a subscription.

What if I run more than one title?

The Publisher plan covers three publications, each with its own brand, list and issue calendar, under one login.

Every issue, every subscriber, one circle.

Sign in with Google and you will be looking at a working publication in under a minute.
